Fraud Alert: Protect Yourself Against Door-to-Door Scams

Your safety is our priority, and we want to make you aware of recent door-to-door activity reported by several residents.
We have been informed that individuals are visiting buildings and offering enrolment in electricity-offset, carbon-credit, or environmental incentive programs. These individuals are not affiliated with Metergy.
Please note that Metergy never collects personal or financial information at your door and we only visit your unit if a scheduled appointment has been communicated in advance.
How to Protect Yourself?
- Be cautious of unexpected visitors
If someone shows up claiming to be from Metergy without prior notice, you should decline the interaction as the visit is not legitimate. - Do not share personal or financial details
Metergy will never ask for banking or account information at your door. - Avoid signing anything on the spot
Legitimate service providers will always allow time to review and verify information. - Report suspicious activity
Notify your property management team if you experience a concerning visit.
